§ 673. Acquisition of real and personal property—Applicability of condemnation procedure

The provisions of §§ 2901—2913 of Title 32 are hereby made extensive to the University of Puerto Rico insofar as they are not incompatible with any provision of §§ 670—675 of this title, and they shall be applicable to the powers and condemnation proceedings hereby granted and fixed in favor thereof; Provided, That in cases in which the judicial controversy is circumscribed to the price or value of the property the object of the expropriation, jointly with the requirements set forth in § 2907 of Title 32 for the declaration for the acquisition and material delivery of the property, the University of Puerto Rico shall comply with the requirements of giving a bond or making a deposit which in the opinion of the court will be sufficient to answer for the difference between the amount estimated by the University of Puerto Rico and the amount requested by the owner of the property the object of the expropriation, as a fair compensation, and to answer, further, for the interest to which the owner of the property the object of expropriation may be entitled.
