The multiple-trip construction equipment permit for movement of an overweight unit is limited to state highways located in an area including a base county and the counties bordering the base county. It is valid only for moves originating and terminating within this area and is not valid for moves through the area.
The permit is valid for daytime movement only and is not valid on interstate highways.
The permit is valid for units up to 20 feet wide and 110 feet long. Units exceeding these dimensions require a single-trip permit.
Under this permit, the maximum speed for movement of off-highway construction equipment not being hauled on a permitted vehicle is 20 miles per hour. During movement, if off-highway construction equipment bounces, the speed of the vehicle shall be reduced so that the unit does not bounce.
