The owner or user of a boiler required by SDCL 34-29A-14.1 to be inspected shall pay directly to the state of South Dakota through the Office of the Fire Marshal, upon completion of the inspection, fees in accordance with the following schedule:
(1)Initial inspection | $100 and travel |
(2)Hydrostatic test | $ 45 and travel |
(3)Ultrasonic examination | $ 75 and travel |
(4)Visual internal and external inspections | $ 45 and travel |
Travel is paid at the applicable state rate for the time period during which the inspection occurs. Travel includes transportation, meals, and lodging.
The fee for any other inspections is a minimum of $90 for one-half day of four hours and $150 for one full day up to eight hours, plus travel.
