Section He-C 6450.15 - Program Requirements and Services
(a) The experiential/wilderness facility shall provide the following services to juveniles and their families:
(1) A program approved by the department of education pursuant to RSA 186-C, Ed 1100, RSA 193, and Ed 306;
(2) Therapeutic group services provided by counselors and supervisors;
(3) Therapeutic recreational activities that build self esteem, self confidence, and provide positive experiences for juveniles; and
(4) Daily activities that meet the physical, social, emotional, educational, and developmental needs of the juveniles in residence.
(b) When the program provides high risk therapeutic recreational activities there shall a staff member trained in the techniques needed to ensure the juveniles' safe participation.
(c) The experiential/wilderness facility shall provide a family centered services component that includes the following:
(1) Services designed to reunite children with their families;
(2) Services and activities that promote family involvement from intake to discharge, including aftercare assistance;
(3) Counseling and other services needed to stabilize and strengthen the family's ability to be reunited;
(4) Parental education as needed so that nurturing and safe environments can be developed for reunification;
(5) Services designed so that families shall be active participants in all aspects of the child's decision making process which shall include case planning and treatment team meetings in fulfilling the treatment plan;
(6) Immediate assistance on nights and weekends;
(7) Services designed to ensure family counseling will be conducted in the family's home; and
(8) Transportation as needed to assist in the reunification process.
