Section 455C.270 - Air and ventilation1. A permanent source of outside air must be provided for the room in which the boiler is located to allow satisfactory combustion of the fuel as well as proper ventilation of the room under normal operating conditions. Air used for combustion must not be taken from a room that contains equipment for refrigeration.2. The total input of British thermal units of the burners for all fired pressure vessels in the room for the boiler must be used to determine the size of the louver, whether the boilers are fired by coal, oil or gas in compliance with the applicable provisions of Controls and Safety Devices for Automatically Fired Boilers, as adopted by reference in NAC 455C.108.Nev.
