Subsection 001-346-2-1 - Prerequisite for OperationA. A person may not operate an establishment or processing plant engaged in commerce in the business of buying, selling, preparing, processing, packing, storing, transporting, or otherwise handling meat, meat food products or poultry products unless that person holds a valid license issued by the Department of Agriculture. The license is not transferable and shall be permanently displayed. 1. When a person engages in activities requiring a license under these Rules at two or more locations, and those locations are not on the same premises in this state, a separate license is required for each location.2. A person engaging in two or more operations on the same premise in this state, which involve activities requiring a license under these Rules, may operate under one license.
