Section 602.210 - License Term and Renewal(a) A license is valid for two years from the date of issuance and may be renewed.(b) The medical board by rule may adopt a system under which licenses expire on various dates during the year.(c) A person may renew an unexpired license by paying the required renewal fee to the medical board before the expiration date of the license.(d) If a person's license has been expired for 90 days or less, the person may renew the license by paying to the medical board the required renewal fee and a penalty fee in an amount equal to one-half of the amount of the renewal fee.(e) If a person's license has been expired for longer than 90 days but less than one year, the person may renew the license by paying to the medical board the renewal fee that was due at expiration and a penalty fee in an amount equal to the amount of the renewal fee.(f) If a person's license has been expired for one year or longer, the person may not renew the license.
