Section 602.209 - License Issuance(a) The medical board may issue a license to an eligible applicant who: (1) passes the examination under Section 602.206; and(2) meets all other license requirements.(b) Not later than the 30th day after the date the medical board makes a decision on an application submitted under Section 602.203, the medical board shall notify the applicant of the decision.(c) If the medical board approves the application, the medical board shall issue a license to the applicant. If the medical board denies the application, the medical board shall include in the notice of decision a description of the areas of deficiency.(d) Each license issued under this chapter must be uniform, except that each license must indicate: (1) the license holder's name;(2) the serial number assigned to the license holder; and(3) the medical physics specialty the license holder may practice.(e) A license certificate is the medical board's property and must be surrendered on demand.Amended by Acts 2015, Texas Acts of the 84th Leg. - Regular Session, ch. 838,Sec. 2.075, eff. 9/1/2015.
