Section 461A.055 - Reporting of Children Involved in Substance Abuse or From Family Involved in Substance Abuse(a) The department in the context of mental health services, the commission, the Department of Aging and Disability Services, and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department shall: (1) attempt to determine whether a child under the agency's jurisdiction is involved in substance abuse or is from a substance-abusing family;(2) record its determination in the case record of the child; and(3) record the information for statistical reporting purposes.(b) The agencies shall revise their assessment forms, as needed, to include a determination under this section.(c) The department shall coordinate the efforts of the agencies described by Subsection (a) in complying with this section.Tex.
