Section 13A.304 - [Effective 1/1/2025] Escape; Unauthorized Absence

An offense under Section 38.06 or 38.113, Penal Code, may be prosecuted in any county in which:

(1) the offense was committed; or

(2) the defendant committed the offense for which the defendant was placed in custody, detained, or required to submit to treatment. (Code Crim. Proc., Art. 13.28.)
