Section 2260.102 - Legislative findingsThe General Assembly finds and declares as follows:
(1) electronic commerce is expanding rapidly and is an engine for economic growth in this Commonwealth and the United States; and(2) uniformity among state laws recognizing the validity and enforceability of electronic signatures, records and writings is important to the continued expansion of electronic commerce; and(3) the rights of consumers under existing laws should be protected and preserved. The General Assembly should enact the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act submitted to the state legislatures by the National Conference of Commissioners of Uniform State Laws with additions to enhance and promote the reliability of electronic commerce.
