Ohio Rev. Code § 4734.23

Current with legislation from 2024 received as of August 15, 2024.
Section 4734.23 - Reciprocity with other states
(A) A person licensed by another country in the practice of chiropractic may apply under this section for a license to practice chiropractic in this state in lieu of applying under section 4734.20 of the Revised Code. The fee for applying under this division shall be five hundred dollars.
(B) The state chiropractic board may, for good cause, waive all or part of the educational and testing requirements specified under section 4734.20 of the Revised Code and issue a license to an applicant under division (A) of this section, if the applicant presents satisfactory proof of being licensed to practice chiropractic in another country where the requirements for receipt of the license, on the date the license was issued, are considered by the board to be substantially equivalent to those of this chapter. The applicant must meet the same age requirement that must be met under section 4734.20 of the Revised Code. If the board does not waive all of the educational and testing requirements, the board may require that the applicant complete and receive a score specified by the board on one or more tests administered by the board or by the national board of chiropractic examiners or another testing entity.
(C) The board shall issue a license to practice chiropractic in accordance with Chapter 4796. of the Revised Code to an applicant if either of the following applies:
(1) The applicant holds a license to practice chiropractic in another state.
(2) The applicant has satisfactory work experience, a government certification, or a private certification as described in that chapter as a chiropractor in a state that does not issue that license.
