§ 8011. Obligations of distributors and vendors

Every natural or juridical person who on his or her own, or through his/her agent or representative, employees or any other person, displays, distributes or sells artisanry, shall separate and identify the artisanry and souvenirs made in Puerto Rico from those made abroad in his/her shop, establishment, center, workshop, display window, shelves or other place. Such separation and identification shall be clearly and visibly accessible.

Any natural or juridical person who violates this provision, shall incur a misdemeanor and upon conviction, shall be sanctioned with a fine of five hundred dollars ($500) for each violation incurred. In addition, he or she shall be imposed the penalty of performing community services.
