§ 206c. Advisory committees

In keeping with the public policy of encouraging participation by the citizenry in the planning process, the Planning Board may create committees to advise it during the process to determine a school zone that is adopted pursuant to this chapter or regarding any problem related to school zones.

The committees may be created by initiative of the Board, by petition of the mayor of the corresponding municipality, or by initiative of the school authorities, the parent-teacher councils, the student representatives and the civic leaders of the community. The commissioners shall be appointed and will hold office pursuant to the regulations adopted by the Planning Board.
