The Division of Animal Industries shall consist of the following sections:
(a) Veterinary Section.— This Section shall be in charge of taking such measures for veterinary policing as may be necessary for the protection of Puerto Rican cattle; of preventing the introduction and dissemination of infectious-contagious diseases of animals in Puerto Rico; of controlling, eradicating, checking and treating pests and diseases of domestic animals in this island, as well as of diagnosing said diseases by making clinical and bacteriological examinations, and of putting in force all the laws and regulations that may be promulgated for the purpose.
(b) Section of Zootechny.— This Section shall be in charge of studying all the problems connected with animal industry and of promoting its development.
