§ 343c. Director

The Director shall be an attorney, authorized by the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, who has knowledge of constitutional and information technology law; Commonwealth and federal laws related to obscenity, pornography, cyber privacy, and personal information; and both the Spanish and English languages.

(a) The Director shall be appointed by, answer to, and carry out all duties at the will of the Secretary.

(b) The Secretary shall establish the salary or compensation of the Director according to the compensation rules applicable to other employees in positions of trust within the Department of Consumer Affairs with the same or similar functions and responsibilities.
