(a) Violations of the provisions of this chapter or of the regulations promulgated by the Secretary for which no specific penal sanction has been prescribed, shall be considered as misdemeanors punishable by a fine of not less than twenty [dollars] ($20) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100) or by imprisonment in jail for not less than five (5) nor more than thirty (30) days, or both penalties, in the discretion of the court.
(b) The regulations in force approved by virtue of the provisions of former acts shall continue in all their force and effect until the new regulations provided by this act take effect.
(c) All violations of Act No. 54 of July 11, 1921, as amended, and of Act No. 8 of May 16, 1919, as amended, incurred prior to this chapter, shall continue to be prosecuted before the courts pursuant to the provisions of said acts.
