The sharecropper who wishes to receive the benefits of this chapter should present his sharecropping contract to the Department of Agriculture. Said contract shall clearly express the way or proportion that the products or gains are to be divided. This contract shall be for the term agreed upon by both parties, but never for less than a year, and it will be subject to renewal according to what the parties agree upon. If the contract is not renewed, the unharvested produce shall be harvested in due time and distributed between the parties as stipulated in the contract.
The issuing and renewal of the sharecropping contract shall be presented for registration in the Registry hereunder created within the prescribed thirty (30) days. The presentation and registration of the sharecropping contract shall be free of taxes.
The Secretary of Agriculture is empowered to design and distribute samples or forms of sharecropping contracts to be used by the interested parties.
