§ 663. Exposure in public areas

Every person who brings, or attempts to bring, into any market, livery stable, corral, or any other place where other animals may be met with, any animal known by him to be infected with or laboring under any infectious or contagious disease, shall be deemed to be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a fine of not exceeding two hundred dollars ($200), or imprisonment for one month in jail, or to both fine and imprisonment.
