§ 1012. Community, charity, and religion-based organizations

The purpose of this chapter is to allow the Government of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to establish contracts with community, charity, and religion-based organizations, and to allow such organizations to receive certificates or other forms of disbursements under any program described in § 1011(b) of this title under the same basis as with any non-government provider, regardless of the religious character of such an organization, and without minimizing the religious freedom of the assistance beneficiaries that are under such programs.
