Section 626.9706 - Life insurance; discrimination on basis of sickle-cell trait prohibited(1) No insurer authorized to transact insurance in this state shall refuse to issue and deliver any policy of life insurance solely because the person to be insured has the sickle-cell trait.(2) No life insurance policy issued and delivered in this state shall carry a higher premium rate or charge solely because the person to be insured has the sickle-cell trait.s. 1, ch. 78-35; s. 807, ch. 82-243; ss. 206, 207, ch. 90-363; s. 4, ch. 91-429.
