(a)"Emergency protective order" refers to the temporary protective order entered after a W. Va. Code § 48-27-203 emergency hearing. (b)"Domestic violence protective order" refers to the ninety (90), one hundred eighty (180) day, one year or longer order entered after a W. Va. Code § 48-27-205 final hearing. (c)"Protective order," as referred to in the West Virginia Code and these rules unless specifically stated otherwise, shall mean the order entered pursuant to W. Va. Code § 48-27-203 and W. Va. Code § 48-27-205. (d)"Law Enforcement Agency" refers to all agencies provided in W. Va. Code § 48-27-206; provided, however, when the code or these rules require service of orders and pleadings filed in domestic violence proceedings, "law enforcement agency" does not include any federal agency or the department of health and human resources.
