Rule 1 - Scope; conflicts(a) These rules shall govern domestic violence civil proceedings in the circuit courts, family courts, and magistrate courts of the State of West Virginia. If these rules conflict with other rules or statutes, these rules shall apply. The purpose of these rules is to help resolve cases in a just, speedy, and inexpensive manner.
