Section 141-70-6 - Demonstrations
a. The Cdr, 2/19th SFGA is the sponsoring unit for The Green Beret Parachute Team (GBPT).
b. The Commander, 2/ 19th SFGA is responsible to the TAG-WV to ensure that all personnel selected for membership in The GBPT meet the qualifications set forth in paragraph four above and that all Demonstration Jumps are conducted in strict accordance with the procedures outlined in references cited in paragraph one of this regulation.
c. Responsibility for obtaining approval from the USPA Area Safety Officer, FAA and for filing a complete NOTAM rests with The GBPT Safety Officer and will be accomplished prior to any approved demonstration.
d. Requests for The GBPT, along with forms attached as Annex "A", will be forwarded no less than 60 days prior to the event to The Adjutant General's Department, ATTN: WVAR-PO-O for determination of its validity insofar as being meaningful to the recruiting efforts of the West Virginia National Guard. Upon receipt, the following sequence of events transpires:

(1) Request for GBPT comes to POMSO-WV.

(1) POMSO contacts the RRM for a determination of valisity insofar as being meaningful to the recruiting efforts.

(a) If it is determined that the demonstration is not in the best interests of recruiting, then the request is returned to the requester as a disapproved action with reasons stated for nonparticipation.

(b) If it is determined that the request is in the best interest of recruiting, the request will be forwarded, by endorsement, to the Commander, AASF for scheduling of aircraft and crew on a training status.

(2) POMSO forwards request to Commander, AASF

(2) Determination of availability of air crew on a training status is made:

(a)If it is determined, after all methods of support have been analyzed, that the aircraft and crew are not available, the request is returned to TAG-WV ATTN: WVAR-PO-P with reasons for nonsupport so the requester can be advised.

(b) If it is determined that the aircraft and crew available, the Cdr, AASF will forward the request by endorsement to Cdr, 2/19th SFGA for determination of availability of the GBPT.

(3) Commander, 2/19th SFGA receives request, from Commander, AASF.

(3) Determination of avilability of the GBPT is made. Approval/Disapproval action is forearded to TAG ATTN: WVAR-PO-P. a copy of this correspondence is provided Cdr, AASF.

(4) POMSO receives Approval/Disapproval correspondence from Commander, 2/19th SFGA.

(4)Cdr, 2/19th SFGA decision determines one of the following:

(a) If disapproved, requester is advised with information copy furnished to AASF.

(b) If approved, POMSO submits request for final Approval to TAG-WV or NGB-PA (whichever is applicable). Upon receipt of final approval, the requester is advised in writing with information copies furnished to Commander, AASF and Commander 2/19th SFGA.

(5) Commander, AASF/RRM; Commander, 2/19th SFGA receives information copy of final approval letter to requestor.

(5) The following coordination is effected:

(a) Designated POC for the GBPT contacts Commander, AASF to coordinate pick-up points, etc.

(b) RRM arranges for recruiter.

(c) PAO arranges for media support.

(d) POMSO is to ensure ADSW without pay Orders are published upon receipt from Commander, 2/19th SFGA for verification and posting.
