Section 141-70-4 - Participation and MembershipAll membership and participation in The GBPT will be voluntary and limited exclusively to active members of the West Virginia Army National Guard on Jump Status. Operational procedures and policies of the organization will be governed by the references listed in paragraph one.
a. In order to participate as a member of The Green Beret Parachute Team (GBPT), the following prerequisites must be met: (1) Be assigned to a Unit where the MTOE/TDA position requires current airborne status.(2) Be a graduate of a US Army Airborne School.(3) Possess a valid USPA and International Aeronautic Federation of Parachutists License, Class "C" (Advanced) or higher. (Members holding a Class "A" or "B" license may participate in demonstrations performed on approved military drop zones.)(4) Be an associate member of an established Sport Parachute Club. (The Sport Parachute Club provides public liability and property damage coverage for its members by membership in the US Parachute Association.)(5) Participate only in those demonstrations with advance approval in writing from NGB-PA or TAG-WV (whichever is applicable), conducted IAW referenced regulations and where active recruiting is to be performed during and after each demonstration.b. The Green Beret Parachute Team (GBPT) will be responsible for the training of new members and an OIC/NCOIC of the team, as designated by the Cdr, 2/ 19 SFGA, will be responsible for membership of those active West Virginia Army National Guard personnel that meet all of the qualifications for membership in The GBPT. Training policy will conform to the standards established by FORSCOM/ARNG Reg 350-2.W. Va. Code R. § 141-70-4
