Each county plan for educational excellence will be reviewed by the West Virginia Department of Education to (a) verify compliance with standards and (b) verify that the improvement components address locally identified needs and priorities. In reviewing the plan, the department may request additional information and, for just cause, request modification to the plan. An opportunity for the county to reconcile any differences. will be provided by the department prior to consideration of the plan by the state board.
