Section 296-307-53007 - Restraining devices(1) The employer must furnish a restraining device for inflating tires on multipiece wheels.(2) The employer must provide a restraining device for inflating tires on single-piece wheels unless the rim wheel will be bolted onto a vehicle during inflation.(3) Restraining devices must: (a) Withstand the force of a rim wheel separation occurring at 150% of the maximum tire pressure for the rim wheel being serviced.(b) Prevent the rim wheel components from being thrown out of the device.(c) The restraining device is visually inspected before each day's use and after any rim wheel separation or sudden release of contained air. Any damaged restraining device is immediately removed from service.(d) If the restraining device is removed from service, it is not returned to service until repaired and reinspected. If the restraining device requires structural repair, it is not returned to service until certified by either the manufacturer or a registered professional engineer to meet the strength requirements of (a) of this subsection.Wash.
