Section 296-27-00101 - Purpose and scope(1)Chapter 296-27 WAC requires employers to record work-related injuries and illnesses, report to the division of occupational safety and health (DOSH) any work-related fatality, inpatient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye within the time parameters specified in the rule.(2)Scope. All employers covered by the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA) must comply with the requirements in this standard, unless otherwise specified. Wash. Admin. Code § 296-27-00101

These requirements do not mean that the employer or employee was at fault, or that a safety or health rule has been violated.
