Section 601.4 - General Information(a) The ombudsman shall create and maintain uniform policies and procedures for the Independent Ombudsman (IO).(b) The ombudsman shall ensure compliance with IO policies and procedures by all IO staff.(c) The ombudsman shall promote awareness of the following information among the public and youth committed to the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD): (1) how the IO may be contacted;(2) the purpose of the IO; and(3) the services that the IO provides.(d) The ombudsman shall ensure that the TJJD executive director, the Office of the Governor, and members of the Texas Legislature are apprised of any problematic, systemic trends.37 Tex.
