Section 70:03:01:32.01 - Annual permit - Oversize vehicle designed for hauling oversize, overweight loads

A permit-issuing authority may issue an annual permit which allows the movement on state trunk highways of a permit vehicle up to 10 feet wide, up to 110 feet long, or both, but not overheight or overweight. The permit shall be assigned to an individual truck tractor or trailer.

The permit vehicle may consist of a truck tractor pulling one or more units designed for hauling oversize or overweight loads. The units may consist of one or more of the following: a trailer, a jeep dolly, or a booster axle.

This permit is valid when a load is carried on the trailer if the load does not exceed the length and width of the trailer's bed and the load does not cause the permit vehicle to exceed legal height or weight. Pin settings for the permit vehicle must be set so that the permit vehicle is configured in its shortest configuration, and all width extensions must be placed in their narrowest configuration.
