Section 67:61:11:02 - Prevention program classificationsPrevention programming is divided into the following population classifications:
(1) Universal prevention programming: Activities targeted to the general public or a whole population that has not been identified on the basis of individual risk;(a) Direct: Interventions that directly serve a group of individuals who are identifiable, but who have not been identified on the basis of individual risk; and(b) Indirect: Interventions that support population-based programs and environmental strategies;(2) Selective prevention programming: Activities targeted to individuals or a subgroup of the population whose risk in developing a disorder is significantly higher than average; and(3) Indicated prevention programming: Activities targeted to individuals identified as having minimal, but detectable signs or symptoms foreshadowing a disorder, or biological markers indicating predisposition, but have not yet met diagnostic level.S.D.
