A prevention program must encompass current research, theory, and practice-based strategies and activities implemented through structured prevention strategies. An agency providing a primary prevention or diversion service shall delineate a work plan that outlines the scope of services to be offered. The programming being implemented must be found on the state supported evidence based programming list. The plan must be approved by the board of directors and documented in board minutes, or approved by the agency director and be made available to the public and agency staff.
An agency that conducts classroom or group educational programs shall use a structured evidence-based curriculum for prevention education.
