Section 67:12:06:02 - Correction of underpayments

Corrections of underpayments shall be made by the department as soon as possible. The amount of a retroactive payment made to a recipient shall not be considered as income or a resource in the month paid or in the following month; however, the retroactive payment or any balance remaining shall be considered in the determination of the continuing eligibility of the recipient in the succeeding months.
