Section 67:12:01:31 - Absence of parent due to hospitalization, imprisonment, and deportation

In accordance with the criteria in § 67:12:01:29, hospitalization, imprisonment, and deportation is considered deprivation of parental support. A parent who is a convicted offender serving a court-imposed sentence but permitted to live at home while earning no income and performing unpaid public work or unpaid community service during the work day is considered absent from the home.
