Section 44:75:14:25 - Emergency power for electrical heating

If electricity is the only source of power normally used for space heating, the emergency service shall provide for heating of operating, delivery, labor, recovery, intensive care, nurseries, and patient rooms. Emergency heating of patient rooms is not required if the hospital is supplied by at least two utility service feeders, each supplied by separate generating sources, or a network distribution system fed by two or more generators, with the facility feeders routed, connected, and protected so that a fault any place between the generators and the facility will not be likely to cause an interruption of more than one of the facility service feeders.
