An appraiser may enter into an agreement to perform an assignment that calls for something less than, or different from, the work that would otherwise be required by the specific guidelines if, before entering into such an agreement the appraiser has determined that the assignment to be performed is not so limited in scope that the resulting appraisal, review, or analysis would tend to mislead or confuse the client, the users of the report, or the public and the appraiser has advised the client that the assignment calls for something less than, or different from, the work required by the specific guidelines and therefore the report will include a qualification that reflects the limited or differing scope of the appraisal, review, or analysis.
