Section 17:50:10:01 - Mail items provided for correspondence to public officials

The state will not furnish envelopes, postage, or stationary to inmates, other than those inmates without money in their institutional account, except for the purpose of writing to attorneys, the courts, the Secretary of the South Dakota Department of Corrections, the Governor of South Dakota, or legal services.
