Section 200-RICR-20-30-3.9 - Coordination with other requirementsA. All programs in LEAs receiving Title III, (Elementary and Secondary Education Act, 1965) funds are expected to meet the state's Annual Measurable Achievement Objectives ("AMAO") as required by Title III of the No Child Left Behind Act, (Elementary and Secondary Education Act, 1965, as amended, 2001). After LEA's receive notification of their AMAO status, those LEAs that have failed to meet their AMAOs must prepare a revised improvement plan and inform parents of the LEA's status within thirty (30) days.B. The English-language skills of all English Language Learners shall be assessed annually through ACCESS, the state's English-language proficiency assessment, approved by RIDE. Assessment shall continue until the student is formally exited from the English Language Instructional Program and, at the LEA's discretion, for an additional two (2) years during the monitoring period.200 R.I.
