Section 8:51-2.1 - Screening(a) The local board of health shall work with health care providers in its jurisdiction to ensure that all children less than 72 months of age are appropriately screened for blood lead at or above the blood lead reference value in accordance with N.J.A.C. 8:51A.(b) If a local board of health determines that a child less than 72 months of age, who is receiving service from one of its child health programs, is in need of lead screening, and it is not able to make arrangements for the child to be screened by a health care provider, the local board of health shall perform a lead screening of the child.N.J.
