Section 13:20-9.6 - Temporary certificates

A person with a disability identification vehicle registration placard may be issued on a temporary basis for not more than six months' duration by the chief of police of each municipality to a person who is certified by a physician, podiatrist, chiropractic physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner licensed in this State or a bordering state; or a physician stationed at a military or naval installation located in this State who is licensed to practice in any state, to be temporarily disabled to a degree which would qualify him or her under the provisions of 39:4-204 and 39:4-206 and this subchapter.
