Section Pas 304.01 - Area Operator's General Inspection
(a) For the purpose of this section, "qualified wire rope inspector" means an individual who is acceptable to the board to inspect wire rope.
(b) A general inspection of each passenger tramway, that shall include the entire installation, shall be conducted by the area operator or his/her designee at least once a year. For passenger tramways operating in more than one season, a minimum of 2 inspections a year shall be required.
(c) The inspector(s) shall submit a written report to the board indicating whether the tramway is ready for operation on the "Area Operator's Inspection Report" form as set forth in Pas 309.04.
(d) The general inspection required by this section shall include an annual inspection of each wire rope used in the passenger tramway.
(e) The annual wire rope inspection set forth in (d) above shall be:
(1) Performed by a qualified wire rope inspector; and
(2) Documented on the "Annual Wire Rope Inspection Report" as set forth in Pas 309.04(b), filed with the board.
