The owner or operator of any tramway, upon the occurrence of an incident involving death, loss of control of a lift or the evacuation of any type of lift device carrying passengers above the ground, by any method other than auxiliary power, shall immediately notify the lift inspector or a member of the board, by telephone. If neither the lift inspector nor a member of the board can be reached, notification may be made through state police communications at (603)271-3636.
