Section Pari 806.36 - Qualifications for Greyhound Owner or Owner-Trainer

In addition to the qualifications set forth in Pari 806.35 above, an applicant for an owner's license under Pari 806.01(a) (1) or an owner-trainer's license under Pari 806.01(a) (2) shall:

(a) Be recommended for the occupational license by 2 persons who the applicant has known for at least 2 years and who are not relatives;
(b) Have the financial ability to pay all bills arising in this state relative to the care and maintenance of greyhounds that the applicant owns or trains;
(c) If an applicant for occupational licensure as an owner-trainer, have at least 3 months of experience as an assistant trainer; and
(d) If an applicant for occupational licensure as an owner-trainer who intends to train greyhounds for individuals or kennels other than him or herself, be recommended for occupational licensure by at least one other owner or kennel for whom the applicant will train greyhounds.
