Section Pari 804.02 - Duties of Lead-Outs(a) Lead-outs shall be trained by licensees in the scope and proper performance of their duties before working on the racing premises.(b) Only lead-outs shall lead greyhounds from the paddock to the starting box.(c) During purse races greyhounds shall be led from the paddock to the starting box by one lead-out per greyhound.(d) Lead-outs shall not hold any conversation with the public or with one another in the paddock en route to the starting box or while returning to the paddock.(e) Lead-outs shall be attired in clean uniforms.(f) When not on break in a designated break area lead-outs shall not smoke, drink beverages other than water or eat.(g) No person shall work as a lead-out on racing premises where any of the following individuals have a financial interest in the results of any race run on the same premises: (2) The spouse of the lead-out;(3) A parent of the lead-out;(4) A child of the lead-out; or(5) A sibling of the lead-out.(h) Lead-outs shall not wager at the racing premises where they work.(i) Lead-outs shall promptly report to the nearest racing official or the commission veterinarian any infirmities or physical problems they observe in greyhounds in their care.N.H.
