Section Pari 803.08 - Duties of the Paddock Judge(a) Before the first purse or official schooling race run by a greyhound, the paddock judge shall:(1) Confirm the identity of the greyhound by matching the greyhound's appearance and tattoos to the NGA registration certificate; and(2) Create a Bertillon card for the greyhound.(b) After the first purse or official schooling race run by a greyhound, the paddock judge shall confirm the identity of the greyhound by matching the greyhound's appearance and tattoos against the Bertillon card.(c) The paddock judge shall exclude from a race any greyhound for which he or she can not confirm its identity and report that action to the board.(d) The paddock judge shall issue and attach to each greyhound's collar before the greyhound is weighed in an identification tag showing:(1) The number of the race in which the greyhound is entered; and(2) The greyhound's post position.(e) The paddock judge shall ensure that the identification tag is not removed until the greyhound has been weighed out and covered with a numbered blanket.(f) The paddock judge shall assign lead-outs to greyhounds.(g) The paddock judge shall ensure that anyone presenting a greyhound to be weighed in has in his or her possession a valid occupational license.(h) The paddock judge shall ensure that: (1) Only the following shall be in or near the lock-out kennel after the greyhounds have been placed in the kennel: e. Individuals authorized by the commission;(2) No fewer than 2 people are present in the lock-out kennel at any given time; and(3) Each greyhound is properly fitted with a muzzle and a numbered blanket prior to its leaving the paddock for the starting box.N.H.
