Section He-C 6450.02 - Definitions(a) "Commissioner" means the commissioner of the department of health and human services.(b) "Department" means "department", as defined in RSA 170-E:25 VII, namely the "department of health and human services".(c) "Experiential/wilderness facility" means a child care institution and its staff which regularly provides specialized care and training in daily living for 12 to 57 children in a wilderness setting.(d) "Juvenile" means any person under 18 years of age.(e) "Juvenile probation and parole officer" (JPPO) means the person who is responsible for coordinating the placement, services, and planning for the juvenile during the time the juvenile has a legal relationship with DCYF and who serves as the authorized representative of DCYF.(f) "License" means an authorization to operate a child care facility in accordance with RSA 170-E.(g) "Licensed health practitioner" means a physician, or a physician's assistant, or nurse practitioner supervised by a physician.(h) "Physical plant" means all structures including campsites, permanent or temporary, on the grounds of the experiential/wilderness facility.(i) "Resident director" means the individual who is responsible for the daily administration of the program.(j) "Site visit team" means the DCYF staff assigned to monitor, evaluate, and license the experiential/wilderness facility based on compliance with the requirements in He-C 6450.(k) "Substitute staff" means a person who takes the employment position of a staff member on an emergency or temporary basis for not more than 30 calendar days.(l) "Wilderness setting" means a minimum of 50 acres that provides a sufficient buffer between the experiential/wilderness facility and the community and sufficient operating space for the program.N.H.
