Section Env-A 1303.06 - RACT Requirements: Wet-Bottom Utility Boilers Firing CoalThe NOx RACT requirements for wet-bottom utility boilers firing coal, whether by itself or in combination with any other fuel(s) shall be as follows:
(a) For tangential or face-fired boilers, an emission limit of 1.0 lb. per million Btu, based on a 24-hour calendar day average;(b) For cyclone-fired boilers having a maximum nameplate capacity of less than 320 megawatts and equipped with a SCR system an emission limit of: (1) 0.22 lb. per million Btu, based on a 24-hour calendar day average, except as provided in (2) below; or(2) 4.0 tons per day on any calendar day during which a startup, shutdown or low-load operation occurs; and(c) For cyclone-fired boilers having a maximum nameplate capacity of equal to or greater than 320 megawatts and equipped with a SCR system an emission limit of: (1) 0.22 lb. per million Btu, based on a 24-hour calendar day average, except as provided in (2) below; or(2) 11.5 tons per day on any calendar day during which a startup, shutdown or low-load operation occurs.N.H.
