Section 294-17.003 - POST POSITION17.003.01 Post position shall be determined by lot in the presence of the racing secretary or a deputy. (See Chapter 13.011.05)17.003.02 Beginning from the inside rail, the horses shall take their positions at the post in keeping with the numerical order resulting from public drawing; however, if deemed necessary by the Stewards they may remove an unruly horse from an inside position and place him on the outside.
