All facilities will work together to develop transfer guidelines indicating which patients should be considered for transfer and procedures to ensure the most expedient, safe transfer of the patient. The transfer guidelines shall make certain that feedback is provided to the facilities and assure that this information becomes part of the trauma registry. All designated facilities will agree to accept and provide service to the trauma/burn patient regardless of their ability to pay.
