Rule 15-3-1-8.4.12 - Trauma Registry1. All facilities designated as burn centers in Mississippi must participate in the statewide Trauma Registry for the purpose of supporting peer review and performance improvement activities at the local, regional, and state levels. Since this data relates to specific trauma patients and are used to evaluate and improve the quality of health care services, this data is confidential and will be governed by the Miss. Code Ann. § 41-59-77.2. This database must include all patients who are admitted to the burn center hospital for acute burn care treatment. Compliance with the above will be evidenced by: a. Documentation of utilization of the Trauma Registry data in the trauma/burn performance improvement process.b.
